A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Communications, she currently lives in East Avondale, having previously resided in Lake County for over 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys taking advantage of all the city has to offer (especially restaurants), traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and serving as a Board Member for K9 4 Keeps, a 100% volunteer-run dog rescue in Chicago. In addition, she has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, the Center for Enriched Living, and many others.
